The City Mailbox Collection: About the Size
The City Mailbox Collection features a standard sized mailbox. The dimensions are 14"H x 14"W and 4"D, which allows for multiple days worth of mail to be collected. Incoming mail is deposited in the top through a mail slot 12"W x 1.3"D and protected by a weather resistant lid that can accommodate large magazines and envelopes and still keep the mail secure.
The City Mailbox Collection: About the Locking Mechanism
The City Mailbox Collection features a lock on every mailbox. The lock is located on the left front side of the mailbox. Each lock is constructed of high quality stainless steel, and includes two keys. When the lock is opened, the front door of the mailbox swings open to the right side to access to your mail.
The City Mailbox Collection: About the Materials Used
The City Mailbox Collection is constructed with Galvanized Steel or Stainless Steel. The White and Chicago Design B are constructed of Galvanized Steel, while the Chicago Stainless Model, Ohio Stainless, and Atlanta Stainless are constructed of Stainless Steel. Galvanized Steel is widely used in outdoor applications and provides superior protection against rust. During production, steel is mixed and coated with zinc, which acts as a barrier against the ravages of corrosion. The life expectancy for galvanized products in coastal communities is common at 10 to 20 years, while 20 to 30 years is typical in rural atmospheres. Stainless Steel construction has a high resistance to corrosion. In addition, stainless steel holds its strength in high and low temperatures and pressures. Maintenance is easily accomplished, with any common stainless steel cleaner.
